Engadine Eagles Coaching Policy

The FFA's new coaching curriculum and technical plan is aimed at realising the necessary changes in order to improve the quality of players produced in the Australian system.

Australian players, while physically and mentally strong, lag behind leading football nations in the technical and tactical areas of the game. The new coaching curriculum is aimed at improving these areas of player development.

Engadine Eagles strongly encourage all coaches to complete a level of accreditation relevant to the age that they are coaching, working off the fundamental principle that better coaches create better players.

The club's new elite coaching team is looking to organise a series of coach education seminars and coach development clinics with an aim to improving the quality of coaching at Engadine Eagles FC, especially at youth and grassroots levels.

Eagles coaching policy emphasises a focus on:

  • football development and increased game awareness
  • technical aspects (skill, ball control)
  • enjoyment and love of the game

Any coaching queries should be directed to Engadine Eagles Head Coach Todd Barden at headcoach@engadineeagles.net
